Takeoff at Logan

BOS is the strongest union domicile in the system, and always has been. Our Camaraderie is unmatched, and our volunteerism is APA's best. We take care of each other as family. We are honored to represent the "East Boston Flying Club" as your APA Boston Domicile Reps as of 01MAY 25 - Larry & Tom

Continuing The Great Representation of Paul & Gemma In BOS

  • We are stronger together. We will never split our Union with divisive lines, lanyards or outside interests. Building SOLIDARITY between us will be the mainstay of our tenure. Unity first is our pledge to you, as we have far more that unites us than divides us. We must come together now, respecting all points of view, as we prepare for Section Six and APA CBA 2027.

  • We will use all of APA’s resources to protect our flying, and advocate for growth at our BOS Domicile. While we have no direct control over the total amount, or diversity of flying in BOS; we will work with SCOPE, Negotiating, Scheduling, and OAC Committees to present data to management that supports increased jobs and flying in our home base. We will collaborate with the National Officers to promote BOS whenever they interact with senior management. Working together with the BOS Chief Pilot to foster increased block hours and new destinations is a mutually beneficial endeavor that we welcome.

  • We will faithfully represent the collective will of the BOS pilots. We will work to continually expand and enhance two-way communication to ensure your views are known and accurately represented. We will follow polling faithfully. Concourse conversations, town halls and domicile meetings will continue to be held regularly. We will listen to all viewpoints, and always work to build a consensus. We will vote with the BOS pilots, not our personal views or the agenda of any special interest group. We are beholden only to you.

  • We must be leaders in the community of airline Unions. We can only be the best if we seek to pursue and incorporate industry and Union advancements. This has been happening through Governance reforms since we ratified our CBA, but we have more work to do. If elected, we will advocate that we build these coalitions and improve cooperation across Unions, trade-groups, industry stakeholders, government agencies, and international alliances. Under our watch we will remain the Union leader in peer support programs, pilot aeromedical benefits, and taking care of our disabled. We will be the standard-bearer, as we collaboratively lead the charge, both legislatively and contractually, against reduced crew operations.

  • We will build on our CBA successes and improve where necessary. Governance reforms and a robust Strategic Plan have refocused and strengthened our Union negotiating position. We have a dedicated and talented Negotiating Committee in place, with a long-term vision and a BOS based Negotiating Committee Chair. We will leverage our decades of Union experience to ensure that BOS pilot priorities are well represented. Active preparations for APA Contract 2027 have already begun, and our Union is in the process of strengthening economic analysis staff and adding additional legal talent. This effort will get our full support and attention. BOS will be the champion of "Supplement L" reforms and improvements in CBA 2027.

  • We will prioritize more flexibility and stability in our schedules. We will work closely with the NC, JIAC, and Scheduling Committee on improving TTS, continuing to update RAS, and reducing reserve staffing. We will seek counsel from the subject matter experts, volunteers, and the APA staff. We guarantee an informed perspective for the actions required to bring improvement. We will always seek your feedback to inform our decisions.

  • Engagement is critical to the success of our Union together. From day one, We will work to nurture and encourage the future leaders of our Union. You have our promise to identify and prepare the talent amongst us to be the future leaders of our Union. BOS has always led this charge punching way above our weight-class, and we have a strong relationship with the three BOS APA National Committee Chairs, including the Negotiating Chair.

  • The voices of the full seniority range of BOS pilots will be heard and represented. All our pilots throughout the seniority list deserve to be treated with equality, respect, and dignity. We are well placed in our respective seniority range to represent the most senior and junior effectively and equally.

  • We need effective advocates at the domicile level. We will be your steadfast defender and ensure you will have the strongest, most informed representation in any interaction with management. We take this charge to protect your career and earnings most seriously, and we have the bona fides to back up our word. This is where majority of the work of the BOS Reps occurs, and we are uniquely qualified to serve you effectively at the local level.

  • We will defend and enforce our contract at all times. There are times to collaborate, where we can help pilots together, and other times to hold the line against management. We have the experience to discern the difference and have earned the respect of the BOS flight-office to enforce it. First-hand experience has given us the wisdom and scars to know that AAL SkyView management has never seen us as "team-members”, and we will act accordingly.

  • We will be responsible stewards of your hard-earned dues. Our duties will be discharged transparently, in a manner that will not cause unnecessary expense. We will serve with integrity and keep our conduct above reproach. We will work tirelessly to ensure your dues continue at the current industry-lowest rate. We will seek future dues-holidays, such as we recently enjoyed. It is your money, and we will always treat it as such.
